  • Inform the strategic direction of the Theme to achieve its overall objectives to support Local Authorities to improve health by prioritising, generating and mobilising evidence
  • Monitor the progress of the overall programme of work undertaken within the Theme and advise on any modifications that may need to be made in order to ensure timely delivery of outcomes


  • Review and prioritise proposals within work streams
  • Provide specialist methodological and professional advice to the Theme
  • Facilitate the engagement of colleagues from partner organisations in the work of the Theme where appropriate
  • Advise on the strategy for dissemination of learning across the CLAHRC with partner organisations, nationally and internationally
  • Inform the development of a strategic approach to evaluating the success of the Theme
  • Review the progress of the Project Management Groups and advise on any issues of concern
  • Support cross theme working
  • Advise on the dissemination of learning across the Theme and CLAHRC YH
